Fair about the wind

It reconstructs the wind for the whole race, then asks one question before it judges a call: could you have known, at that moment? A right call rolled by a shift nobody could see gets credit, not blame.

Every tack, scored

Each tack gets a verdict against the wind: KNOCKED — you were headed, right call; LIFTED — you gave away the paying board. The argument is settled before you reach the dock.
